BASKETBALL WRAPPED UP AFTER A GREAT SEASON, WILL FINISH WITH BOYS V GIRLS GAMES
The basketball teams have finished their final week of the season. In spite of many postponements and cancellations, all the teams did very well and all players have improved their basketball skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
At the end of January and beginning of February, the younger and older teams hosted their 31st annual tournament. The younger boys took second place in their tournament, falling to Notre Dame of Michigan City. The younger girls team and both of the older teams put in great effort but came up short. They were excellent days of great basketball and sportsmanship, both on and off the court. Thank you to all of the parents who helped make this a very special day for the athletes on all of the teams!
As the season ended, the 8th graders were honored at their last home games. On Wednesday, February 26th, the 8th Grade girls, Aurora Campbell, Katie Jedrysek, Miranda Pham, and Eden Riley were recognized. On Thursday, February 27th, the 8th Grade boys, Grayson Happel, Jordan Kincaid, and Xander Watkins were recognized.
All of the teams loved sporting their new reversible uniforms which came in handy since many teams they participated against had dark colored jerseys only! Thank you to those that donated to the “Basketball Uniform Fund”!
On March 15th, all from the school and church communities are invited to cheer on the students as they compete against one another, boys v girls. The games will begin at 10am.
Coming up soon will be Intramural sports, beginning with floor hockey. Sign-up sheets will be available the first week of March with the dates of play! Intramurals are held right after school until 4:00pm for 4-8th graders that are eligible to participate on the designated days.
