The Ministry We Share Campaign hits first milestone!
Thanks to the generosity and commitment of a relatively small group of folks from St. John’s, our capital campaign has exceeded $100,000 in pledges and gifts, more than 1/3rd of the way towards our ultimate goal.
Like a puzzle with several pieces, the success of The Ministry We Share (TMWS) will depend on several factors.
Our Goal – now a bit less than $300,000
Our original goal was determined by adding together the ACTUAL cost of projects that we have either completed: HVAC repairs/replacement ($107,700), gymnasium floor ($85,000), smaller roof repairs ($4,400), other miscellaneous repairs ($9,500) … or the need to complete: major roof repairs ($65,000) and sanctuary HVAC ($60,000).
We then reduced the amount we need to raise by that amount ALREADY DONATED by several generous members, which ended up being MORE than our original estimate.

CAMPAIGN GOAL: $298,800
Gifts and Pledges
As of January 29, the total amount given or pledged now exceeds $104,000 … or about 35% of our campaign goal. Several individuals made one-time gifts, while others are making smaller gifts each month or week. A couple of donors are planning several larger, one-time gifts. Pledges of recurring gifts have ranged from $10 weekly to $1,000 monthly. Others are planning for larger gifts later this year and over the next several years.
Number of Donors
As of the end of January, fourteen (14) donors have made gifts or pledges. Pastor Albers estimates that we can meet (or exceed) our goal if 100 donors participate in the campaign. Some will be able to make a larger gift, others will be able to add a small amount to their gift each week (or month). The key to our success is INCREASING the number of individuals (and families) participating in TMWS Campaign.
