The Ministry We Share Campaign moves closer to our goal as numerous people make contributions and pledges of varying sizes!
We are about 1/3rd of our way to the goal of providing for many capital improvement projects completed over the last several years or planned for in the coming months.
DONORS:
We still need YOU to reach our goal of 100 donors. As of April 30 we have received gifts or pledges from 33 individuals or families who are part of the St. John’s “family.” This does include several gifts from those connected to St. John’s exclusively through our school. If we were to reach our goal of 100 donors, leaders are confident we will also reach our monetary goal.
PLEDGES & GIFTS:
As of April 30 we are at $130,000 in pledges and gifts, which is about 40% of the way to our $298,800 goal. Of this amount, nearly $26,000 has been given by donors.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN:
Our Board of Trustees continues to plan for several projects needing immediate attention, but have not signed any contractors to perform any work on these projects. These projects include:
- Gymnasium Roof Drains: We are hopeful that a good part of the challenge we have had over the years includes our roof drains, drains which are connected to a storm water management system, a system which may be clogged with debris and sludge. But we do have experts available to us and we are talking with them about next steps.
- Sanctuary HVAC: A congregational leader will be approaching a vendor to put together a quote for work to begin … hopefully … in June of this year.
However, since all of our buildings are at least 50 years old, there is always a project that requires attention. Your financial support for The Ministry We Share campaign is more important now than ever before!
