The Ministry We Share Campaign moves closer to our goal!
Each week a few more contributors have made a gift or pledge as a part of our TMWS Campaign. As of the first of March we have surpassed $120,000 in gifts and pledges from 27 different contributors from our church and school.
By way of reminder, our goal for NEW gifts is now $298,800. Combined with gifts made for Capital Improvements prior to the start of our current campaign, our goal is to have $331,600 available to cover the cost of projects already completed and currently planned projects.
As you consider making a gift, think about what has already been accomplished. We’ve invested nearly $108,000 in upgrading or repairing HVAC systems at the school and church. This past summer we replaced the gymnasium floor at a cost of $85,000. Other repairs cost about $14,000. Donations to the Capital Improvement Fund were just not sufficient to cover the cost.
Remember also, plans are underway to complete REPAIRS to our gymnasium roof system ($60,000) and REPLACE failing components for our church air conditioning system ($65,000). If either of these projects can be completed for LESS, we can adjust our campaign goal OR identify several other projects that need attention.
Gifts and Pledges
As of March 1st the total amount given or pledged is now $121,565 … or about 40% of our campaign goal. Several individuals made one-time gifts, while others are making smaller gifts each month or week. A couple of donors are planning several larger, one-time gifts. Pledges of recurring gifts have ranged from $10 weekly to $1,000 monthly. Others are planning for larger gifts later this year and over the next several years.
Number of Donors
As of the first of March, 27 donors have made gifts or pledges, which means we are one-fourth of the way to our goal of 100 donors. Some will be able to make a larger gift, others will be able to add a small amount to their gift each week (or month). The key to our success is INCREASING the number of individuals (and families) participating in TMWS Campaign.
