The Ministry We Share Campaign moves closer to our goal as numerous people make contributions and pledges of varying sizes!
We Want YOU!
Maybe we should adjust our logo to include a picture of Pastor Albers similar to Uncle Sam and the military recruiting posters … “I Want You …” The posters were made famous in recruiting soldiers for the U.S. Army for both world wars.
Really the only thing missing in our “The Ministry We Share” Campaign is YOU!
Actually, 31 persons (or couples) have stepped up with a gift or pledge, bringing the total in pledges and gifts to nearly $130,000! THANKS BE TO GOD!
- Gifts have ranged from an ongoing pledge of $10 per week to a pledge of at least $25,000 annually.
- Several donors have made regular (weekly or monthly) gifts, but no ongoing pledge. In this case if these individuals continue their pattern of giving for the entire length of the campaign, the total will increase substantially.
- Many others have made one-time gifts of $500 or $1,000, even as much as $3,500, while others can manage a gift of $50.
- Others have made a pledge that will result in gifts that exceed $3,500 or even $10,000 because they plan on a regular and consistent gift.
Whatever your ability to help, please know that your gift will help secure our ability to improve our facilities and meet the needs of ministry at St. John’s. All of our buildings were constructed more than 50 years ago. In the past decade plenty of time and energy and money have been dedicated to improving these facilities, but we know for certain that in the coming decade more improvements will be needed.
