Art Club 2023
Art Club will begin March 24th for Grades K-3 and March 31st for Grades 4-8 after school until 4:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Permission is needed prior to attending by sending your RSVP via email to Mrs. Cowgill. Thank you to Mrs. Cowgill for sponsoring the Art Club again this year.
Reading Club
Students have been working hard at achieving goals in the Reading Club this year. All students received a list of 20 books at the beginning of the year to read and pass quizzes for the club. As they read, they earn recognition at different levels all named after the life cycle of an Eagle. An Egg member has read 5 books, Chick has read 10, Fledgling has read 15 and an Eagle has read all 20 books from the designated list! Along with the recognition, they earn prizes of finger lights (to help read in the dark), ice cream and pizza (at the end-of-year party), and a rare t-shirt for reading all 20 books! So far this year, we have 17 students that have earned the Egg level, 7 students at the Chick level, and 3 students at the Fledgling level quickly approaching the Eagle recognition. We are so proud of our Eagles for going above and beyond. This club gives students the extrinsic motivation to read allowing them to discover genres that they may not have chosen to read on their own.
