While most of our students will receive financial assistance through the Indiana Choice Scholarship program, most will also receive a scholarship from St. John’s.  YOU can help make that possible, while also receiving a tax credit from the State of Indiana.

Since September 1 of this year, four donors have made a total of $22,000 in gifts to our Scholarship Fund!  Because of their gifts, St. John’s can provide scholarships to families AND they receive a credit towards their 2025 tax liability.

• Visit the website and click the “DONATE NOW” button.
• Choose your donation type (there are at least eight ways to donate)
• Select “St. John Lutheran – La Porte” from the list of schools
• Make your gift (farmers can even give gifts of grain)
• Receive your receipt and the 50% state tax credit certification
• File your taxes with the State of Indiana, reporting the donation on Schedule 6 and Form IN-OCC.

Last year at least one donor COMPLETELY ELIMINATED their state tax liability, receiving a refund of ALL the state tax that was withheld from their paycheck!
