Basketball Camp
St. John’s Basketball Camp will be July 28th to August 1st this summer. It is open to all friends and family of St. John’s who are entering grades 4-8. Friends who attend a different school are welcome to join in the fun too (but folks must register on the first day like everyone else)!
Each evening the basketball camp will be 3-5pm, followed by an hour of open gym for further practice and fun until 6pm. There is no charge for this camp, but sign-ups are needed by July 21st to Coach Chas Grott. The registration forms will need to be filled out by a guardian at the first day of camp. Coach Grott can be reached at 219-204-9106.
Blood Drive @ St. John’s
On August 4th, St. John’s will be hosting a blood drive in the Music Room from 2-6pm. If you’d like to sign up you can go to the Red Cross website here.
Back to the Nest
Also on August 4th, families are invited to the Open House where they and their students can preview their classrooms, finish up final paperwork needed, and get supplies from the church supply drive that they are still needing for the school year. If you’d like to assist with this open house, by directing foot-traffic or helping new families find their way around, please contact the school office.
First day of School
Students return to school on Wednesday, August 13th. Parents and church members are welcome to join for chapel at 8:10am in the Church, to kick off the school year with worship.
Family Reunion Sunday
Join in for outdoor worship at 10, and then a picnic, school open house and outdoor fun. This is a great way for the St. John’s church and school communities to kick-off the fall season together. If you’re willing to assist in making this a great event, contact the church office or Deaconess Michele.
