On Wednesday, November 22, the evening before Thanksgiving Day, our chapel was (mostly) filled with worshippers gathering to give thanks for our many blessings. And once our service began, we had even more reason to give thanks.
Our chapel is special for many reasons, not the least of which is the wonderful acoustic that helps to amplify the sounds of worship: liturgy, readings, prayers, and most especially, song. The design of the space helps worshippers’ ability to hear others and, as a result, they speak and sing more boldly.
The Saturday morning Men’s Bible Study also made use of the space on November 11 and then the Board of Elders hosted their November meeting the next Saturday, November 18.
The newly-renovated space also provided a great place to host the prayer vigil the next Wednesday. Worshippers gathered in the front of the chapel and tables in the back provided a place to work on prayer cards for the family.
Plan now to join worship in the chapel on Monday, December 25, for the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord, at 10 am. It will be the first communion service in the chapel since renovations.
