Papa John’s Fundraiser
Looking for an easy way to help raise funds for the 6th- 8th grader’s spring trip to Washington D.C.? Papa John’s Pizza in La Porte will be donating a portion of the profits from each order on November 7th that mentions St. John’s.
Operation Christmas Child
Our second quarter Chapel offerings will be donated to Operation Christmas Child.
Mrs. Foglesong and 1st Grade students will kick off OCC on November 8th, at 1:30 pm in the gym. SJLC members are welcome to join in the fun! Just ring the school or church office on Friday afternoon by 1:20 pm. The Packing Party will be at 1:00 pm on November 22nd. More information will be sent home with students.
College GO! Week A Success!
Students and staff had a great time taking part in College Go Week. Dr. Lipscomb visited classrooms to discuss going to college but also explained there are other avenues that can help students reach their goals. Dr. Lipscomb’s activities during the week included Dress as Your Future Career. Dr. Lipscomb also talked about how as an adult, you need to know how to work as a team. The students got the opportunity to show their teamwork by making a cup tower without touching the cups!
