Operation Christmas Child Outreach

Each year children and adults pack shoebox gifts intended to bless children in need around the world. Parents often use the project to teach their kids about giving.  Operation Christmas Child is also the service learning project for St. John’s Lutheran School’s first-grade classroom.

Showbox CampaignSt. John’s School collected and contributed shoeboxes this fall during the third week of November. On Friday, November 17th, Mrs. Foglesong’s First Grade students and parents packed shoe boxes with items that were donated.  Some students chose to take boxes home to fill and return to school.

St. John’s Lutheran School would like to thank everyone for making this wonderful gift of giving possible. Your support of Operation Christmas Child is so much appreciated! Our final count of shoeboxes was 131 boxes!! Thanks to you not only 131 children will receive a box and the opportunity to hear about Jesus, but their families will also be greatly impacted by the Good News!

If you would like to make an additional financial gift in support of Operation Christmas Child give it to a student or bring it yourself to a Chapel service sometime this month.
