The last week of January is always a time of celebration: it’s National Lutheran Schools Week! During this time the students have special activities, assemblies, and dress-down days. It also means that there is a special church service the prior Sunday.
On January 25th, worship will be held at 10am in the gym. Before the service, breakfast will be provided by the School Board and NEST. This will be a great time for fellowship and fun as both the church and school communities are brought together. The students will get to be part of leading worship as each choir will sing during the service.
That morning, we will also get to hear from the spiritual life coordinators of Lutheran Child and Family Services (LCFS) of Indianapolis. This organization is a wonderful resource for children and families struggling with a variety of issues. LCFS was the organization the teachers chose to raise money for with the first quarter of chapel offerings. LCFS will be here that morning to tell us a bit more about how they serve the children that come to them, and to receive our donation.
Put January 25th on your calendar now! It is going to be a wonderful morning for our community!
Also mark on your calendar Wednesday, January 28th to come donate blood at the school building between 1-6pm!
