NLSW 2025 was a great week of fun activities and excitement!

Sunday, January 26th was the Kick-Off to the weeklong joyful celebration of National Lutheran School Week (NLSW) with breakfast provided by the NEST. Service started at 10AM. It was a blessing to have so many students and families attend and share the morning together. Preschool – 8th grade students sang beautiful songs to praise our Savior.

The theme for this school year is “Endurance” which is emphasized in the scripture of Hebrews 12:1-3:    “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.”

A few favorite activities of the students include the “dress up days”, the Monday Morning Energizer, PaperPie Bookfair, spirit stick for dress up day participation, and finishing the week with a pep rally. The pep rally highlighted the basketball teams along, had a fun competition between the girls and boys teams, and then a fun competition against the faculty. This year a bonus activity to NLSW was a presentation from Hoots to Howls Wildlife Rehabilitation, for the students to learn about caring for hurt animals.
