Last year volunteers got to work replacing old fluorescent light bulbs with new LED technology which will not only use less electricity, but also last much longer! The crews got about 2/3rds of the fixtures upgraded. This summer would be a great time to upgrade more lighting fixtures in the classrooms and other rooms throughout the school, but help from volunteers will be instrumental to get the work completed.
The skill set required includes rather basic electrical skills. Removing ballasts and some simple rewiring is all that is necessary before installing the new LED bulbs. And the best part is that the work can be done over many weeks. Contact Pastor Albers if you would like to help!
