Grandparent’s Day this fall was on Reformation Day, October 31st, and was a morning of special activities and fun for all of the students and grandparents or relatives/special friends that joined!

To begin the morning, everyone gathered in the church for Reformation Day chapel service. Afterwards, each class gave a special presentation. Some classes recited poems about grandparents, one class sang the books of the Bible song, one class shared how their grandparents have inspired them, and the older students read acrostic poems they wrote about grandparents.

After the presentations everyone headed to the school building. Each student got to give a tour of their classroom, sharing special artwork and projects they made to gift to their grandparent. They also got to go to the book fair with their grandparent and then go to the gym for a photo opp, donuts and juice, and games.

Thank you to the NEST and church volunteers who helped decorate, serve food, and hang out with the students who didn’t have a relative able to attend.  Thank you especially to Mrs. Kristin Watkins and Mrs. Sandra Bangs who planned the morning, and to all the teachers for putting in extra work to make the morning full of special memories to treasure.
