The Eagles Volleyball team improved each time they played this season. “You can see the improvement each time they take the floor”, stated Coach Stelter. “When they first started, some could barely get their serves over or didn’t move to receive the serves. Now, they are getting serves over, moving for the ball and working together to try and get three hits. Some are even learning to be a little more aggressive at the net! It’s fun seeing them improve.”
The team won 3 matches and lost a few REALLY close matches, losing one by only two points. The volleyball teams finished up their season with the last game which was onOctober 29th against Renaissance Academy held at the Armory in Michigan City.
Basketball permission slips are being sent home soon so that Coach Stelter can assess how many basketball teams will be formed this year, as the number of teams St. John’s will have depends on the number of interested participants. Look for more information to be shared in December on when the season will begin and when the first home basketball games will be!
