On October 9th our Kindergarten through 8th-grade students attended the 36th Annual Drayton Family Education Concerts. LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra music director, Dr. Carolyn Watson, was this year’s conductor. The concerts provide music education to over 5,000 students and educators from Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan.
The excellence of the LCSO’s education outreach is significant for the area and these concerts have been recognized as one of the most successful concerts in the nation by the American String Teachers Association and the National School Orchestra Association.
