It may seem an odd “fit” for September, but Pastor Albers has announced that Confirmation for those who completed instruction this spring will be on Sunday, September 22, at the Connect Service (9:30 am). The service will be moved to the sanctuary for this special event.
Five students who are regularly in worship at St. John’s were also at St. John’s School for their 7th and 8th grade years and received instruction in the Christian faith from Pastor Albers during that time. These students include Benjamin Aquino, Leah Baker, Rebecca Baker, Kenneth Martinez, and Kieran McCoy.
Deaconess Michele will be gathering this group for a special event preparing them more fully for the Rite of Confirmation (Affirmation of Baptism) which will be a part of this service on the 22nd.
