On Reformation Sunday two young people confirmed their faith in the Rite of Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation), confessing their faith and to continue to grow in their knowledge of and relationship with our Savior.
Ben and Eden were both students who, as part of the curriculum, study the our Lutheran teachings over the last two years at St. John’s. During their elementary years, they learned the Bible stories from their religion classes. During 7th grade their Faith Formation class studied what Lutherans believe and confess. During 8th grade, last school year, their Faith Formation class went through the Bible more deeply, to review the overarching themes that connect across Scripture. Over the summer they continued to worship at St. John’s which is important because in their confirmation they were also confirming their intention to be part of this active community.
Please continue to keep Ben and Eden, and their faith which is growing through their high school years, in your prayers.
