Help is needed as we clean and clear out rooms in the school building.
Over the past several months small groups of volunteers have helped clean up and declutter several rooms at both the church and school buildings. The clutter mostly resulted from bits and pieces just building up over a period of months. In other cases “projects” need some more significant clean up after the fact.
The school staff will be organizing a weekend clean-up day this winter to do the same thing in several storage rooms at the school building. In some cases items just need to be relocated (either permanently or temporarily). In other cases old supplies or used fixtures just need to be disposed of.
In many cases “out of sight is out of mind,” until someone needs access to that space for completing other projects. That’s the case with the gymnasium storage room. Volunteers will be working on the next safety and security upgrades in the coming months, and many of the items stored in the area will be in the way.
If you love organizing, and especially if you enjoy sorting through clutter and identifying those “extra” items which can find their new home in our dumpster, please contact the church office or speak with Pastor Albers some weekend at worship. He can connect you with others who are working on the same kind of projects.
