New Decorations for our Church’s Christmas Trees
As Christmas is nearing, the plans for decorating the church are commencing! In order to create much-needed new Chrismons and have an opportunity for community and family crafting, a Chrismon decorating event will be taking place on Saturday, November 16th, from 9:00 am to Noon in the Chapel.
All of St. John’s community is invited to this event and will be a great event for adults and children to do together. Chrismons follow a particular pattern, so all materials and the pre-set design will be provided. Each attendee will get to make one Chrismon to decorate the church and one to take home as a keepsake for the family tree.
The event will begin at 9:00 am with breakfast and devotion before the crafting fun begins. There is no cost for this event, but registration is requested so that adequate food, materials, and table space are available. Please sign up below.
NOTE: Each child must work with an adult for the event. While we celebrate the artistic endeavors of children of every age, care must be taken with the various components used in creating a Chrismon. There is no separate childcare for the event.
