Chapel is a Critical Part of our School Ministry
Chapel Time:
Every Wednesday at 8:10 a.m. our students meet in the church for our school chapel service. The Bible Story each week always provides an important lesson. Songs and prayers provide an opportunity for worship together. Students are encouraged to dress in Chapel attire. If you plan to attend, please enter through the portico and sign in at the registry table.
Chapel Offerings:
Each Wednesday the school children are encouraged to support a mission project by bringing an offering. Second Quarter offerings supporting Operation Christmas Child postage to send the boxes totaled $192.59.
Special Guests:
At the end of November, St. John’s own Dionne Lovstad-Jones stepped up to help lead our school chapel. Earlier in November Dr. Kevin Brockberg, the Superintendent of Lutheran Schools for the state of Indiana, helped lead. Scott Schumacher who serves Lutheran Schools in Indiana in a number of ways, including as the new Executive Director of the Lutheran SGO of Indiana, was scheduled to lead on January 10. That will be rescheduled due to inclement weather.
Our 6th graders led by Mrs. Aquino are scheduled to lead chapel on January 17 and Mrs. Bangs’ Kindergarten class is helping out at the end of January.
