Career Day at SJLS is coming up on May 9th, to introduce the students to a wide array of potential careers!

Dr. Lipscomb is planning a Career Day event, on May 9th, from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Although there might be minor scheduling adjustments for the classrooms, the school is thrilled to have a diverse group of professionals joining us throughout the morning. Last year, there were presentations by a Mold Maker, Financial Advisers, and Nurse Practitioners, just to name a few.

This year, the goal is to have 15 careers represented!

During the event, students from 5th to 8th grade will have the opportunity to rotate between different professionals, allowing them to learn about various career paths. Prior to the rotations, there will be a networking session for the professionals to connect and share insights.

Dt. Lipscomb is the Director of Student Success, and considers it essential for the students to be exposed to a wide range of career options. Each student will come prepared with a list of questions to ask the professionals, enabling them to learn more about different professions and explore their passions.

If you would like to share YOUR career with the students, please contact Dr. Lipscomb via the school office.

Thank you to those who have supported events like Career Day, to make such meaningful opportunities possible for the students.
