As spring slowly makes itself more recognizable and the cold nights make way for warm days and budding trees, our Bible study groups continue to meet to center their lives and hearts around God’s Word. 

Each of these ongoing studies are still open to new attendees! Those with busy schedules are encouraged to attend when they’re able – irregular attendance is welcomed!

WOW: ‘Being Lutheran’

Join the ladies on Wednesdays through June 25th, to read and discuss a book titled ‘Being Lutheran’ by Trevor Sutton. This will be a great time to learn more about what Lutherans believe and how those beliefs are then lived out!  Sign up here! This group meets in the chapel on Wednesdays at 6pm.

Women daytime: Joshua

On Tuesdays Deaconess Michele is leading a Bible study through the book of Joshua. This is a time of discussion, application, and a deep-dive into the text and history of this pivotal time of change for God’s people. Join in to uncover how God kept His promises to Israel, and continues to keep His promises to Christians today. Materials are provided and offer devotions for throughout the week.

This group meets in the chapel on Tuesdays at 10am.

Men: Facing Change

The men’s Bible study meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month, in the chapel at 8:30am. All men are invited to join each month, or just for one.

March 8th they will continue the study titled “Meeting Change”. They are discussing how to meet and navigate change as it occurs throughout life, and looking at the prophet Samuel and the tumultuous changes he endured. This conversation is based on the book “Unfailing: God’s Assurance for Times of Change” by Christopher M Kennedy. You can purchase a copy of the book online or from the church office.

The “Meeting Change” study will continue on May 10th, and wrap-up on June 14th.

Sunday morning:  The Gospel of John

After “keeping vigil” throughout the season of Lent by studying stories at the heart of God’s plan of salvation: Creation, the Great Flood, the Testing of Abraham, the Exodus, and the Valley of the Dry Bones, the Sunday morning study will turn its attention to the Gospel of John. Each weekend in Easter the Gospel reading is drawn from John’s Gospel, giving a fabulous opportunity to study the “fourth Gospel.” These conversations will dig into the foundation and background of John’s gospel, adding to what is being shared in the readings and sermons in worship, rather than covering the same verses.

The study begins immediately after the Connect service and concludes by 11:45 am each Sunday.
