After starting the basketball season with a couple of cancellations due to weather, the schedule was off and running with two games a week. The St. John’s tournaments were successful and won by Renaissance Academy, St. Peter’s, and Notre Dame. They were great days of good competition, sportsmanship, and fun!

Each game has highlighted the improvement of all the players as they gain more confidence in learning the skills better. Basketball season is wrapping up on March 2nd for the girls and 3rd for the boys. On Saturday, March 14th, will be the grand finale when the Girls teams take on the Boys teams starting at 9:00AM for their end of the year party.

Thank you to all of the coaches that volunteered your time and talents to coach our teams this year: Mr. David Farris (4-5 Boys) and Mr. Chas Grott (both Girls teams) and Mr. Devlin McCoy (6-8 Boys). You could see the improvement each time they took the court, and the students had fun playing while learning the game. 

The 8th Graders will be recognized at their last home game of the season. They all displayed good leadership and sportsmanship on the basketball court.

After a week break, the Intramural program will begin with Floor Hockey. Those in Grades 4th to 8th are invited to participate.
