As October begins, plans are falling into place for the annual Trunk-or-Treat on October 23rd! It is open to St. John’s families 5-5:30, and open to the public 5:30-6:30.
This great event welcomes most students and families from the school and many folks from the community who have no connection with St. John’s yet. This makes it the perfect opportunity for church members to get to know the school families that are often held in prayer during church and to get to know other families from the surrounding neighborhoods!
There are many ways to get involved, include making a contribution or volunteering to help on the 23rd!
Donations
- Donate candy
- Donate a case of water (contact Deaconess to check how many are still needed)
Help with prep
- You can help to stuff the goodie bags that will be given to each child at the door. We will have an assembly line crank out this prep work on Wednesday, October 7th at 5:15pm.
- On the 23rd, three large tents need to be set up. They are a simple setup, but it is easier with more people helping. Contact Deaconess Michele if you can help at 3-4pm.
Volunteer at Trunk-or-Treat
- Direct traffic for half an hour (or more!)
- Welcome attendees as they enter and hand out goodie bags
- Host a trunk
To sign up, contact Deaconess Michele by calling the school and dialing extension 112.
